Aspiring to make Cyprus a benchmark in environmental technology, research and innovation, ZEME Eco Fuels & Alloys is building a state-of-the-art and eco-friendly factory for the conversion of scrap aluminium to alloys. The process is introducing a recycling technology that produces specialized alloys with low energy consumption compared to conventional technologies. In addition to aluminium production, ZEME plans to develop a plant for the conversion of plastics into renewable liquid fuel using a highly efficient technology patented in the UK. The company is a subsidiary of Egnedol, who have already developed a globally integrated green approach offering a complete solution for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) disposal by maximising value recovery from its main components.
