Wise Cards is a digital business card platform designed for individuals, teams and organisations that want a simpler way to manage and share professional contact information. Users can create a personalised digital card, add their own branding, content, social channels and links, then share it instantly using a QR code. Because the information lives digitally, details can be updated at any time without replacing printed cards or redistributing contact information.
The brief
Wise Cards needed a complete digital platform that could make creating and sharing a business card feel straightforward for individual users while providing the structure and control required by larger teams. BakerWilcox was asked to design the user experience and interface across the entire product, including the public-facing website, account area, card creation process, templates, team management and analytics. The platform needed to accommodate a wide range of users and professions, allow a high degree of personalisation, and make the process of creating, managing and sharing cards clear from the first interaction.
BakerWilcox understood from the beginning that Wise Cards needed to feel simple for the user while supporting a much more sophisticated platform behind the scenes. They took responsibility for the entire product, from UX and interface design through to development, and helped turn a complex set of requirements into something clear, intuitive and highly usable. The attention to detail throughout the platform has been exceptional, and the finished product feels every bit as considered as the idea behind it.

The execution
We designed Wise Cards as a connected product experience, taking users from initial discovery through to creating, personalising and managing their cards.
The public website introduces the platform through a clear step-by-step journey, showing how cards are created, customised, enriched with additional content and ultimately shared. Profession-specific templates provide users with a practical starting point while still allowing control over typography, colours, imagery, contact information and supporting content.
Within the account area, we designed a visual card editor that allows users to see changes as they work. Contact details, biographies, links, social channels and other content can be managed from a single interface, with each card built around a consistent underlying structure.
For organisations managing larger teams, the platform includes centralised card management, grouping and search, allowing multiple digital identities to be administered from one account. Analytics provide insight into card views, devices and scan locations, giving organisations a clearer picture of how their digital cards are being used.
The attention to detail throughout the platform has been exceptional, and the finished product feels every bit as considered as the idea behind it.

We also designed the system around extensibility, allowing additional services and integrations to be connected to individual cards. The dashboard brings these functions together within a consistent interface, making it possible to manage cards, integrations and performance from one place.
BakerWilcox developed the complete platform alongside the UX and interface design, carrying the product from the public-facing website through to the authenticated account experience and underlying functionality.
